Influencer Collaborations: What to Ask Before You Sign a Creator

Globewick Team Sep 23, 2026 1 min read

Follower count is the easiest thing to check about a potential creator partner, and also one of the least predictive of whether the collaboration will actually drive results for your brand.

Ask about audience composition, not just size

A creator's audience demographics and geography matter far more than raw follower count. A smaller, tightly relevant audience frequently outperforms a much larger, loosely matched one.

Look at engagement quality, not just engagement rate

Comments that are genuine conversation carry more signal than a high volume of generic emoji replies. It's worth actually reading a sample of comments before committing to a partnership.

Clarify deliverables and usage rights upfront
